THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) is stepping up security on schools following strategic coordination meetings with officials in Toril District.
DCPO director PCOL Peter Bauzon Madria conducted separate security assessments with administrators from Davao Central College and San Miguel Integrated School in Barangay Lubogan, Toril, to directly address recent security-related incidents affecting campuses in the area.
During the consultations, Madria met with Davao Central College President Dr. Ruben L. Dela Cruz and San Miguel Integrated School Assistant Principal Fortunato Radin to lay out enhanced police visibility and rapid response mechanisms.
The discussions focused on establishing direct communication channels between campus administrators and local police stations, tightening entrance-and-exit safety protocols, and safeguarding students, faculty, and school personnel against potential threat incidents.
“The meetings served as venues for coordinating appropriate actions and emphasizing the importance of maintaining a safe learning environment,” the DCPO chief said in a statement, reaffirming the police force’s commitment to proactive campus security.
The DCPO added that heightened police visibility and targeted mobile patrols around school zones will remain a priority as joint security frameworks are implemented alongside school administrators.
