Chümoukedima, Oct 23: The fifth WENN Bazaar has recorded sales of ₹1.14 crore, up 63% from the previous year, with 167 women-led enterprises from all 17 districts of Nagaland participating in the three-day event.
The bazaar, organised by the Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland (WENN), was held from October 15 to 17 at the Agri Expo in Chümoukedima under the theme “One Nagaland, One Marketplace”.
Sales rose by ₹44 lakh from the ₹70 lakh recorded at the fourth edition in 2025, marking a significant increase in business generated through the annual marketplace.
The event brought together women entrepreneurs selling a range of products, including traditional foods, agricultural and horticultural produce, handicrafts and other indigenous goods.
The bazaar offered participants a platform to showcase their products, reach customers directly and build business networks. It also brought enterprises from across the state into a common marketplace, giving smaller and home-based businesses an opportunity to expand their customer base.
The increase in turnover highlights the growing commercial potential of women-led businesses and locally made products in Nagaland.
The ₹1.14 crore figure represents total sales, rather than net profit, but the rise from last year’s earnings points to expanding market opportunities for participating entrepreneurs.
