The Kanniyakumari All Women Police (AWPS) have registered a case following a complaint alleging that two doctors from a private hospital in Kottar, had allegedly performed an abortion for a 17-year old girl from a village near Marungoor.
Police said, based on the complaint from the victim’s relative, Kanniyakumari AWPS has registered a case. The two doctors, are undergoing treatment at Kanniyakumari Government Medical College and Hospital in Asaripallam after they were summoned for inquiry.
Further investigations are on.
