Voters in Kogi state have been urged to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election to sustain ongoing economic and structural reforms.
The call was made by High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, as he donated 25 vehicles to the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Kogi State for grassroots mobilisation.
Tompolo, the Grand Patron of the Movement, announced the donation through the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Kestin Pondi, during the inauguration of the movement’s Kogi State structure in Lokoja on Monday.
He said the vehicles would support the movement’s campaign to mobilise voters for Tinubu’s second term, noting that the President demonstrated courage by removing petrol subsidies, supporting direct local government allocations, and granting electricity regulation rights to states.
“If somebody has done so much for you, what do you do for the person? You give him more,” Pondi said while delivering Tompolo’s address. He urged members to take the campaign to homes, workplaces, churches, and markets, stating that Nigerians must give the President another four years to consolidate his reforms.
In his address, Kogi state governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, commended the initiative but emphasized that effective grassroots organization remains vital to victory.
“Vehicles do not win elections, but people win elections, conventions win elections and organisations win elections,” Governor Ododo stated.
Ododo urged coordinators to explain the administration’s policies calmly and factually, listening to voters’ concerns rather than engaging in insults.
He highlighted key projects in Kogi backed by the federal government, including the proposed Economic City, Free Trade Zone, Kogi International Airport, road infrastructure, and security support.
