A Crime Control Department (CCD) official has been booked for allegedly raping a young woman twice in Lahore’s Kahna area and recording a video of her while she was undressed.
According to the FIR, the victim, a resident of Kot Lakhpat, lost her mobile phone while visiting Kahna Bazaar on October 1. She later went to Kahna Police Station to report the missing phone, where she met CCD official Muhammad Shabbir.
The FIR states that Shabbir took her phone number and later contacted her, claiming that her missing mobile had been traced. He then allegedly asked her to come to Ahlu Road.
When the woman reached the location, Shabbir allegedly took her to the house of a woman identified as Humaira Bibi. The complainant alleged that he threatened her with a weapon, sexually assaulted her, and recorded a video of her while she was undressed.
According to the FIR, Shabbir contacted the woman again on October 10 and called her to the same house on Ahlu Road. The victim alleged that he sexually assaulted her for a second time.
The woman later approached Kahna Police Station to register a case. However, she alleged that police officials delayed taking action.
She subsequently appeared before DIG Operations Faisal Kamran during an open court and presented her complaint.
Following her complaint, Kahna Police registered an FIR against CCD official Muhammad Shabbir and launched an investigation into the allegations.
