He started writing for XDA, covering all things mobile, but has transitioned to covering deals, with a mission to shed light on some of the best discounts around the internet on the greatest tech products.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is a powerful laptop that works well for a wide range of tasks. Available at Best Buy with a $400 discount, this model features a 15.3-inch 2K touchscreen, an AMD Ryzen 7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. For $600, that's an absolute steal.

Great for most people

Choosing a laptop is hard enough because there are so many options from so many different manufacturers. And even if you're trying to narrow it down with a brand like Lenovo, it has a fairly large portfolio of computing products, which can still make it difficult to choose.

Those looking for good value will find the IdeaPad Slim 3 laptop a good option. It's great for day-to-day tasks like web browsing, watching videos, and writing documents. You also get integrated AMD Radeon graphics, which can handle light gaming.

The large 15.3-inch screen provides plenty of screen real estate and offers touch controls for added convenience. Despite its size, it still delivers up to 15 hours of battery life. For ports, you get two USB-A ports, one USB-C port, HDMI, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an SD card reader.

There's also Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a 720p webcam. We haven't had the pleasure of reviewing this model, but based on feedback we're seeing on Best Buy, the 4.8/5-star rating from over 100 reviews is a solid indicator that this one is an easy one to recommend.

While the original $1,000 price tag is a bit much, we think the $400 discount to $600 is fair. If you're not quite sold, head into your local Best Buy to check it out.
