Oct. 19—MITCHELL — It was a quiet week when it came to changes in the latest South Dakota Prep Media volleyball poll released on Monday.
Every team in the polls, from the 15 ranked in the top fives of three classes to the six squads receiving votes outside the top fives, held its place from last week. Notably, it's the fourth straight week with the same ranking order in Class A.
After two weeks splitting first-place votes nearly evenly, No. 1 Harrisburg has once again separated from No. 2 Brandon Valley in Class AA, this week holding 12 of 13 available first-place votes. There's also a 12-1 first-place vote split in Class B, where No. 1 Warner is on top of No. 2 Chester.
Sioux Falls Christian is the unanimous No. 1 in Class A, having just backed up a five-set match victory over the Quarriers from early September with a 2-1 win in the Dakota XII Conference tournament.
SFC hosts Harrisburg in a battle of No. 1-ranked teams on Tuesday, Oct. 20.
