After enduring a plethora of injuries to begin Week 7, the Los Angeles Rams are hopeful that star cornerback Trent McDuffie will be back when they take on the Las Vegas Raiders this week. However, the Rams have nothing to hold onto but hope, as they won't be able to provide his status until he goes through weekly preparation.
Per Rams reporter Stu Jackson, head coach Sean McVay said McDuffie is feeling better to start the week. McDuffie missed the loss to the Arizona Cardinals with a groin issue he picked up in practice last Thursday.

"He's feeling much better. The hope is, progress this week and determine his status at the end of this week."
With McDuffie out, cornerbacks Jaylen Watson and Josh Wallace played every snap, while Emmanuel Forbes Jr. saw an increase in usage, playing 16 snaps. He didn't play any defensive snaps the week before. Safety Tank McCollough also played in 32 snaps, while Kam Kinchens played 48 out of the 72 total snaps on defense. Against the Bills, Kinchens registered 36 out of 64 defensive snaps, while McCollough registered just one.
If McDuffie is able to play, his abilities in the slot will be needed due to the Raiders' dual-threat tight ends of Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer.
In 2026, McDuffie has 16 total tackles, one interception, and one tackle for loss. He played every defensive snap this season before last week.
