The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, has reacted to reports of an alleged fallout between him and Serah Ibrahim, a prominent grassroots mobilizer of the Obidient Movement.
DAILY POST reports that rumours of a rift between Obi and the social media influencer have been circulating amid claims that Ibrahim may have distanced herself from Obi’s camp at a critical time.
During a livestream at the weekend, Obi was asked to clarify his current relationship with Ibrahim and whether there was a problem between them.
“Is there a problem between you and Serah?” he was asked.
Responding, Obi neither expressly confirmed nor denied the alleged rift but described Ibrahim as his daughter, insisting that he loves and cares for those around him.
“No, Serah is my daughter. How will a father fight with his daughter? Everybody you see around me are my children, and I love and care for all of them.
“If you are a father, at times you may have a misunderstanding, but they are my children,” Obi said.
