KuCoin announced on October 11 that it will add Incentiv's CENT token to its spot platform on October 12, with deposits on the Incentiv Network and a planned CENT/USDT market.
The exchange's English detailed notice places a call auction before regular trading and schedules withdrawals for October 13 at 10:00 UTC. It states that deposits take effect immediately, separating the ability to send tokens to the exchange from the later opening of the trading market.
However, KuCoin's own published pages disagree on the regular trading hour. The detailed English notice says 09:00 UTC on October 12, after an auction from 08:00 to 09:00. Its announcement-index summary says 10:00 UTC. The October 12 date is consistent, but the opening hour should not be treated as settled while that discrepancy remains.
An opening sequence, not one simultaneous launch
Deposits, auction participation, regular trading and withdrawals are separate services. An exchange can open them at different times, and an announcement that groups them under a listing does not make every function available together.
KuCoin describes CENT as the native token of an EVM-compatible proof-of-work Layer 1 with programmable accounts and flexible fee payments. Those are the project's stated design features, not independently measured evidence of network adoption, revenue or the token's investment value.
The notice also says trading bots will become available when the spot market opens. That is a scheduled service statement, not proof that a particular automated strategy will be liquid or profitable. Users still need the actual market and applicable operating rules.
The auction and continuous market serve different roles
In an opening auction, orders are collected under the venue's rules before an opening execution. Continuous trading then matches compatible buying and selling interest as orders arrive. The scheduled transition is therefore more than a cosmetic label in an announcement.
Neither a listing notice nor a planned auction provides the opening price in advance. The result depends on the eligible orders and the venue's matching process. A project description cannot establish the demand that will exist when participants submit real orders.
Our liquidity guide explains why a market's availability and its capacity to absorb a particular order are different questions. An active pair can still produce partial fills or a worse average execution than a small displayed quote suggests.
The network and token identifier matter
The supported deposit route in the notice is the Incentiv Network. CENT is a ticker, not enough information by itself to identify a transfer destination. Sending an asset through an unsupported network cannot be assumed to create the intended exchange balance.
KuCoin's deposit guidance tells users to select the asset and a supported network that matches the source withdrawal route. A familiar symbol appearing in both interfaces does not remove the need to check the actual chain and destination instructions.
The exchange's advertised listing does not constitute an independent guarantee of the project's security or token economics. The immediate report is the planned addition of a trading pair, the staged service schedule and the unresolved hour discrepancy in KuCoin's own materials.
The next checkpoint is a consistent official schedule and the actual opening of the relevant services. Until then, October 12 is the announced trading date, while the contradictory hours remain a reason to verify the current market interface rather than rely on an unqualified countdown.
