KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane has urged Nepalis to turn the grief and despair caused by recent disasters into hope, resilience and a collective commitment to rebuilding the country as he extended his Dashain greetings to Nepalis at home and abroad.
In his message on the occasion of Bijaya Dashami, Lamichhane said this year’s Bada Dashain comes at a time of disaster and suffering, with many people losing their lives and thousands of families being displaced and left homeless.
Paying tribute to those who lost their lives, he expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and said he hoped the festival would bring positive energy and unite Nepali society more strongly than ever.
Lamichhane expressed confidence that Bijaya Dashami would inspire people to rise above personal interests and dedicate themselves to the greater good of the nation and its people.
He also prayed to Goddess Nawadurga Bhawani to grant everyone the strength, wisdom and courage to overcome the crisis.
Describing Dashain as a celebration of the triumph of truth over falsehood, Lamichhane said the festival should inspire renewed hope and determination to move from despair to recovery and from disaster to reconstruction.
He concluded his message by wishing all Nepalis a happy Bada Dashain, expressing hope that the festival would usher in positive energy and a brighter future.
