He conveyed the congratulations during a meeting at Bangabhaban with a delegation of Board of Trustees members, the vice-chancellor, advisers and faculty members, according to the press release.
The president emphasised the importance of quality higher education in producing skilled, ethical and responsible graduates who can contribute to Bangladesh's socioeconomic development.
He also highlighted the need for universities to maintain safe, supportive campuses and prepare graduates for an evolving job market amid the country's growing challenges.
Uttara University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Eaysmin Ara Lekha presented the institution's long-term development vision, focusing on academic excellence, research, accessibility, internationalisation and highly skilled graduates.
Abid Aziz, a member of the Board of Trustees, briefed the president on initiatives to strengthen the university's research culture and expand partnerships with international organisations and institutions.
Reflecting on the university's development since its establishment in 2003, the president acknowledged the contributions of its founder, Professor Dr M Azizur Rahman, and praised its progress as a higher education institution.
The university said its recognition in the sustainability rankings reflected efforts to combine environmentally responsible campus management with research and international collaboration.
