The Dallas Cowboys will travel to Lambeau Field for a "Sunday Night Football" matchup against the Green Bay Packers in Week 6.
Before the start of the 2026 NFL season, there was some initial hope that pass rusher Micah Parsons could be back on the field for this primetime matchup against his former team. However, he's still recovering from the torn ACL and meniscus he suffered during Week 15 of the 2025 season.
The Cowboys traded Parsons, a generational defensive player, to the Packers before the 2025 season. In exchange, Dallas landed three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round draft picks (2026, 2027).
Long-time Cowboys owner Jerry Jones talked about this trade during his radio appearance with 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday.
"We did not underestimate [Micah Parsons'] ability. It was reinforced when Green Bay gave us all the picks that we got. We're on plan with how we're using those picks. We want to have that show up in success with wins on the field. But nothing about that has surprised me at all. And we wish Micah the best," Jones said, via team reporter Jon Machota of The Athletic.
The Cowboys are 2-3 to begin the 2026 season. Their defense ranks second to last in total yards allowed per game (395.4).
