LAW ENFORCERS intercepted a high-value drug target past midnight Tuesday along a major bypass road in Barangay Mintal, seizing over ₱200,000 worth of suspected shabu.
In a synchronized operation conducted around 12:10 a.m. on Oct. 13, joint elements of the Davao City Police Office-Drug Enforcement Unit and City Special Operations Group, under the leadership of PMAJ Bernie B. Suaga, executed a targeted buy-bust along Purok 1, Bypass Road, Barangay Mintal.
The sting operation—carried out in close coordination with the Regional Special Operations Group, the 1st and 2nd City Mobile Force Companies, Tugbok Police Station, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency XI—led to the immediate arrest of the suspect, categorized by authorities as a high-value individual.
Confiscated during the operation was approximately 30 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price value of ₱204,000.00.
DCPO chief PCOL Peter B. Madria lauded the operating units for the seamless multi-agency coordination, reiterating the local command’s unyielding stance against illegal drug syndicates.
“Our relentless, intelligence-driven operations will continue without pause to ensure that Davao City remains safe and protected from the scourge of illegal drugs,” PCol. Madria said in a statement.
The arrested suspect is currently in police custody and faces formal charges for violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
