Typing a message without a keyboard or speaking out loud might sound like science fiction, but MindRove's TypAir wants to make it a practical alternative, particularly for smart glasses users. The company introduced its wearable Bluetooth keyboard, which translates finger movements into text and commands using a gesture-based alphabet.
The compact device attaches magnetically to clothing, pockets, or straps, keeping it within easy reach. Instead of pressing conventional keys, users perform finger gestures to enter characters or trigger customizable commands. TypAir is designed to work with smart glasses and other devices that support Bluetooth keyboard input. MindRove also provides a basic software development kit (SDK) for customization.
