Barcelona silenced Galatasaray’s intimidating home support with a commanding 4-1 victory, turning the Turkish side’s much-publicised promise of a hostile welcome into a disappointing night for the hosts.
Galatasaray had built anticipation ahead of the encounter by using its social media platforms to warn Barcelona about the atmosphere awaiting them in Istanbul, embracing the club’s reputation for creating one of the most intimidating environments in European football.
The Turkish giants effectively invited the Spanish champions into their own version of ‘hell’, banking on the energy of their supporters to unsettle the visitors. However, Barcelona responded on the pitch with a dominant display, scoring four goals to secure an emphatic win.
The match, played at RAMS Park in Istanbul on Tuesday, October 13, was part of the second round of the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase. Galatasaray started brightly and took the lead through Aleksey Batrakov, raising hopes of an upset against the Spanish visitors.
Barcelona, however, recovered from the early setback and gradually took control of the contest. João Cancelo restored parity before the break after Dani Olmo won possession and helped initiate the attacking move that led to the equaliser.

The Catalan side stepped up the pressure after the restart, with teenage sensation Lamine Yamal playing a decisive role in the turnaround. His creativity helped Barcelona move ahead through Fermín López before Anthony Gordon extended the advantage, leaving the hosts struggling to contain the visitors’ attacking threat.
Karim Adeyemi subsequently added a fourth goal to complete the 4-1 victory, capping a second-half performance that turned the contest decisively in Barcelona’s favour.
Barcelona have now made it 10 wins in 10 matches across all competitions in the 2026/27 season, following their 4-1 comeback victory over Galatasaray.
