Buying a brand-new business laptop for every new hire or remote employee quickly becomes expensive. For many roles, a reliable 14-inch machine with a current operating system is sufficient. A Latitude for email, spreadsheets, and video calls
This unit has a Grade A refurbished rating. That means it arrives in near-new condition with minimal scuffing on the case. Latitude is Dell’s business laptop line, and the 5420 weighs 2.9 pounds and measures 0.67 inches thick, so it travels easily between home and the office.
Inside is an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7, a quad-core processor that runs at 2.4 GHz and boosts up to 4.2 GHz. Memory is 8GB of DDR4, and the laptop supports up to 32GB if a role needs more later. Storage is a 256GB NVMe SSD for quick startup and app loading.
Two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports make docking stations and external monitors simple to set up at a desk. You also get two USB 3.2 ports, an HDMI 2.0 output, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless gear.
A 14-inch Full HD anti-glare display keeps spreadsheets and documents readable under office lighting. A 1MP webcam, microphone, and speakers come built in for video calls. Battery life lasts up to 6 hours, and a third-party 90-day parts-and-labor warranty is included.
It’s important to note that this model has no backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader, or touchscreen.
