Philadelphia 76ers superstar LeBron James responded to the Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards' attempt to troll him in a recently released Adidas commercial.
In the ad, Edwards fired a shot at James, saying, "You see where Big Dog ended up? He was gonna join me in Minnesota, but I guess his knees couldn't handle the cold weather.
"It's cool, though. Philly got some of the best barbers in the world," Edwards also joked in his "Minnatlantasota Ep. 1" ad for Adidas.
Edwards also trolled other players in his ad, including James's new Philadelphia 76ers teammate, Jaylen Brown, and his new teammate, LaMelo Ball. He joked he wouldn't have Ball drive him anywhere, referencing the former Hornets star's crash in Charlotte earlier this year.
During the new episode of the "Mind the Game" podcast, James's co-host, two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash, asked how he felt about the Timberwolves star taking shots at him.
"First of all, I did not watch the spot. Because I don't watch anything from the stripes. Nothing. Love Ant to death, but I don't watch [expletive] from the stripes. I just don't," James said.

"So I don't even know what he actually said. ... I think he said, like, 'He too old. He ain't want his knees to be cold.' But then I was like, 'But I went to Philly, Ant. It's like how my knees want to be warmer in Philly?' ... He just read off the teleprompter," he told Nash.
Nash joked that if anyone has the personality to "take shots" at James, it's a guy like Anthony Edwards, prompting James to respond, "Bring 'em at me. I'm used to it."
While it was all in good fun, the NBA superstar also gave his honest assessment of the new-look Minnesota Timberwolves. The team traded big men Julius Randle and Naz Reid and lost Nickeil-Alexander Walker to free agency during the offseason.
James said he felt the Timberwolves lost much of their "bulk in the interior" due to those moves. He said Minnesota used to be a team that "beats you up" with their size, and it would be interesting to see if things change defensively and in the team's "physicality."
"It's gonna be very intriguing. I think LaMelo and Ant is gonna work well together," he said. "We'll see how they're able to implement [Jonathan] Kuminga and also Jaden McDaniels, and how he continues to grow."
James, who is seeking his fifth NBA championship after joining the 76ers, agreed with Nash's praise of Edwards, giving their thoughts on this season's Timberwolves. It seems like it's all love between James and Edwards, who will get their first regular-season meeting on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2027, in the potentially cold city of Philadelphia.
