Tonda Eckert is hopeful Flynn Downes and Cyle Larin could play for Southampton against West Ham.
Downes is continuing his recovery and will be assessed ahead of Saturday’s game, with the midfielder pushing to make himself available.
“Flynn is getting better day after day, will assess him today and he’s doing everything to be involved tomorrow,” Eckert said.
Larin is also a doubt after suffering a hamstring issue, although Eckert confirmed his previous back problem is no longer a concern.
“Cyle’s issue is part of the hamstring towards the tendon, the bottom part, but it’s the same for him,” he said.
“He’s trying everything to make it for tomorrow.
“It’s different, his back is fine, this just came from the collision.”
