Fintech firm Finda said on the 23rd that it had appointed Park Yeon-hyun, former head of Toss Bank's corporate products division, as chief executive of the newly launched Finda Savings Bank. Finda, which recently won approval from the Financial Services Commission to acquire a savings bank, plans to push ahead with the business under a professional manager with experience in digital finance.
Park, born in 1989, majored in business administration and statistics at Korea University. Park later worked as a financial strategy consultant at Deloitte Consulting before joining Toss Bank as a founding member, taking part in the bank's launch, business strategy and the development of new financial services.
"The competitiveness of a financial product depends on how accurately you grasp the situation and the needs that customers face," Park said. "We will use the data and the understanding of customers that Finda has built up to develop products that match real financial demand, and build a new technology-centered banking model."
