Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential and Gubernatorial Campaign Council to work towards ensuring that Kano delivers the highest number of votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Yusuf made the call during the inauguration of the Kano State Presidential and Gubernatorial Campaign Council, urging members to focus their campaigns on the achievements of APC leaders rather than engaging in insults and personal attacks.
“We are going to campaign based on what the APC leaders have done, not a campaign full of insults,” the governor said.
He challenged members of the council to intensify grassroots mobilisation and take the party’s message to the electorate, expressing confidence that Kano could record the highest number of votes for Tinubu in the country.

“Kano should garner a lot of votes for President Tinubu. The number of votes the APC gets in Kano should be the highest in the country. This is possible if you go out and campaign as required,” he said.
The governor described members of the council as APC soldiers, urging them to demonstrate commitment, discipline and dedication in discharging their responsibilities.
“The members of this council are APC soldiers, and I urge you to carry out your responsibilities with commitment and work towards the party’s victory,” Yusuf added.
He charged the campaign council to work collectively towards strengthening the party’s support base in Kano and ensuring victory for the APC in the forthcoming elections.
