The first round, open Nov. 10-16, targets students with deferred enlistment and those with overseas deferments, with results announced at 2 p.m. on Nov. 18.
The second round is open to all applicants awaiting call-up as social service workers. It will run from Dec. 1 to 7, with results announced at 2 p.m. on Dec. 9.
Applications can be submitted through the agency's website and mobile application. After verifying their identity — through the agency's simplified authentication service, a joint certificate or Narasarang (a dedicated email account for military-service members) email verification — applicants may select a preferred call-up date and two preferred service institutions. Application figures will be disclosed in real time.
Selection of next year's social service workers will take into account applicants' field of study, the number of times they have previously gone unselected, age and occupational preferences. For special education schools and social welfare facilities, applicants with relevant academic backgrounds will be given priority so that their service experience can count toward their careers.
