Veteran wide receiver Davante Adams sustained a non-contact injury during the Los Angeles Rams’ 18-16 Week 6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. On Monday, he was given a rather brutal injury timeline after being diagnosed with a ruptured hamstring.
Reports indicate that the 33-year-old will be out for the next six to 10 weeks. That means the earliest Adams could return is the Week 13 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, but he certainly could be longer than that.
“Davante Adams has ruptured his hamstring and will miss the next 6-10 weeks, the Rams announced,” the report said.

The three-time First-Team All-Pro was experiencing another solid campaign in his 13th season in the NFL. In six games played, Adams has accumulated 30 receptions for 480 yards and four touchdowns off 49 targets. He filled in nicely during the early portion of the season when Puka Nacua was out with a hip/groin injury, but will now miss the next several weeks recovering from this ruptured hamstring issue.
It turns out that Week 6 was a tough week for the Rams. Adams was one of four individuals to be given an injury update, ruling them out for at least four weeks. Two of those individuals (Poona Ford, Blake Grupe) have been ruled out for the remainder of the season. Additionally, Myles Garrett is still not ready to return from the IR after his injury sustained in the 27-7 Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
With injuries piling up in Los Angeles, the Rams will continue with the campaign in Week 7. The team is scheduled to take on the Las Vegas Raiders on the road on Sunday, October 25.
