Two men are facing charges related to the fatal stabbing of a Sydney father who was allegedly killed during a “senseless” attack in Sydney’s west.
Police found Joshua Smith, 36, with stab wounds to his torso at a small park behind the Club Hotel at Mount Druitt just before 9pm last Friday.
Police began first aid on Mr Smith until paramedics arrived, but he could not be saved and died at the scene.

CCTV appears to show a confrontation escalate into violence, with one man throwing a punch before being attacked by three others.
A Mulgoa man, 18, and a Mount Druitt man, 35, were both charged with affray on Tuesday night. They were refused bail and are due to appear before the Penrith and Mount Druitt Local Court.

Earlier, a 13-year-old boy was charged with the father-of-three’s murder, breach of bail and an unrelated count of robbery.
Another 16-year-old boy was charged with accessory to murder after the fact.
Speaking to media on Saturday, NSW Police Superintendent Brendan Gorman said officers obtained CCTV footage of the “horrendous” incident.

“At this stage, police have a number of lines of inquiry and we are looking for about a dozen people who were in the area at the time to come forward and provide help to police to solve this crime,” he said.
“I would say this is a horrendous incident which is certainly concerning for police. Part of the investigation will be to determine if it is random or if it was targeted prior to the incident.”
