Kazakhstani director Aisultan Seitov co-directed American rapper A$AP Rocky’s new music video for «Shroom Clouds,» alongside Pietro Biz Biasia. Kursiv LifeStyle looks at what makes the video stand out.
Seitov also posted about the collaboration on Instagram, sharing a photo with the artist.
The official music video was released on A$AP Rocky’s YouTube channel on Oct. 19. The closing credits and video description list the rapper, Aisultan Seitov and Pietro Biz Biasia as directors.
What the ‘Shroom Clouds’ music video is like
The video has a surreal style. Green hills and steppe landscapes give way to city streets and unusual visual effects. The video feels like a dream, where reality blends with fantasy.
«Shroom Clouds» was released on Oct. 16, 2026, featuring American artists Jeremih and Reggie. The track became the first single associated with the «Don’t Be Dumb – Disc 2» project.
Aisultan Seitov’s other collaborations
Seitov is known for working with international and Kazakhstani artists. He has directed music videos for 21 Savage, J. Cole and other musicians. In 2022, he also directed the feature film «Qas.»
«Shroom Clouds» is not the first project on which Seitov and A$AP Rocky have worked together. In 2021, the Kazakhstani director worked on a promotional video for clothing brand PacSun, where A$AP Rocky served as artistic director.
Previously, Kursiv LifeStyle reported that Seitov drew attention after sharing a photo from Paris. In the photo, the director poses in front of the Eiffel Tower, with the word «Kazakhstan» visible behind him on the observation deck.
