Delhi Police has reconsidered and granted permission for singer Diljit Dosanjh’s concert in the national capital after initially denying clearance over security concerns, officials told ANI on Friday.
The decision follows multiple meetings between the police and the event organisers, during which the latter presented detailed plans addressing security concerns. Permission was granted following these discussions.
The concert, scheduled for October 30 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, is part of Dosanjh’s Aura India Tour. Delhi Police had earlier denied permission for the event, citing specific threat-related inputs, security commitments during the festive season and other law-and-order concerns.

The Delhi concert was scheduled to kick off the India leg of the singer’s tour, which will also cover cities including Indore, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Lucknow.
