A 46-year-old man, who was hit by a TNSTC bus that went out of control after its driver suffered a cardiac arrest on Wednesday (October 21, 2026), succumbed to injuries on Thursday (October 22, 2026), taking the death toll to three.
The police said that Abbas, a resident of Tipu Sultan Colony near Kuniyamuthur, died without responding to treatment on Thursday.
According to the police, Abbas was hit by the bus when he was sitting on his two-wheeler on the side of the road and talking to a person over the phone. He suffered grievous injuries.
The two others who died in the accident are driver of the bus T. Martin (54) and Noor Muhammed (46), an autorickshaw driver from Kuniyamuthur.
