Chris "Mad Dog" Russo gets mad about a lot of things.
So, who is the national radio broadcaster mad at now?
That would be the Milwaukee Brewers, a team that often gets little to no attention outside of Wisconsin, but folks want to hear from them now.
The National League champion and World Series-bound Brewers have found themselves in the crosshairs of Russo, who also appears weekly on ESPN's "First Take," with known Milwaukee critic Stephen A. Smith.
Russo on Oct. 21 explained – or better yet shouted – during a segment on the talk show that, after Milwaukee defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL Championship Series, he had the producer of his radio show, which he operates on SiriusXM, contact the Brewers.
He wanted to talk to Brewers manager Pat Murphy.
"Get him on for 10 minutes," Russo said he told his production team. He said he would tape the interview any time of the day.
Russo said the Brewers emailed back five minutes later, saying Murphy couldn't accommodate his request.
That made Russo irate. Or mad.
"Pat Murphy's schedule is too busy?" a flabbergasted Russo screamed to the camera on "First Take."
He then listed his credentials as evidence why no one should supposedly turn him down.
"I'm a Hall of Famer!" Russo blasted again (he was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2022). "I’m on 'First Take'!"
Russo also took exception to Murphy having done multiple national interviews since the NLCS ended.
Murphy also met the media during the official World Series Media Day at American Family Field on Thursday, Oct. 22, a day before Game 1.
If Russo wanted to talk to Murphy in-person, he could have. But he wasn't in Milwaukee.
"I am (expletive) off," Russo said.
Murphy addressed the situation at Media Day, saying when he heard about Russo's segment on TV, he reached out to the broadcaster.
"So we called him and we did the show," the two-time reigning manager of the year said. "We FaceTimed."

Russo's rant, of course, went viral. But social media wasn't on his side:
I think I can speak for everyone in Milwaukee:

Let's see: he didn't give a damn about the Brewers all season, but now wants to pull the "Don't you know who I am?!?" card now that they're in the World Series?
