Holland Taylor has revealed why she and Sarah Paulson still have separate homes after 12 years together.
The 83-year-old actress has opened up about her relationship with the 51-year-old American Horror Story star, who have been dating well over a decade.
Asked if it's true they don't live together, she told The Drew Barrymore Show: "Well we do as much time as we possibly can, because work takes us apart constantly.
"But I have an apartment here [in New York City], and [Paulson] stays here in my apartment when she’s here.”
Holland - who noted they've been together "12 years, going on" - clarified that if they're in NYC at the same time, they stay at her apartment "together".
They each have their own separate home in Los Angeles, but Sarah has been living at her partner's house while she waits to move into a new property she's bought.
The Two And A Half Man star explained: "In LA, I have a separate house from hers, but her new house, she hasn’t moved into.
“It’s been almost a year since she’s been staying in my house in LA, too. So we’re together as much as geography and our jobs let us be.”
Back in 2024, Sarah insisted the "secret" to their long lasting romance was actually their decision to live apart.
She told the SmartLess podcast: "Yeah, we don’t live together. That’s the secret to it. We spend plenty of time together, but we don’t live in the same house."
The couple first met in 2005 but didn't start dating until a decade later.
Sarah added: "[We've] been together for a long time now. And part of it has to do with, we’re together when we want to be and we’re not when we don’t.”
Although the All's Fair actress had a couple of long term relationships before now, Holland "hasn't been in a tonne".
Sarah pondered: "So to get to be her age and sort of not having really cohabited with someone for a long time — I think it was a lot to sort of have me and all my me-ness in her space.”
When it was suggested they could live in the same home with separate bedrooms, she shrugged off the idea.
She said: "No, because my favourite thing to do — we fall asleep holding hands. I like to sleep near her."
