Jenny McCarthy has revealed a bizarre incident that occurred at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' wedding.
Speaking on The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show, the host shared her story while speaking with former Scientology Sea Organization member Ann Gallard Hill, who left the church after two decades in 2007.
Jenny said she attended the famous couple's wedding in Italy in 2006 while she was dating Jim Carrey.

She was seated near the bride and groom and at one point in the evening, the couple's child, Suri — who was a baby at the time— was brought over.
Jenny recalled asking: “Can I hold the baby?” But her request was met with an unexpected reaction.
“The entire party went like this,” she said, describing everyone falling silent.

Katie eventually handed Suri over to Jenny but it was a very uncomfortable situation.
"I literally went like this. I went around the room, and I was like, and she, Katie, slowly passed the baby, and I just went, ‘Hi, baby,’” Jenny recalled.
She said the room only returned to normal after Suri was safely back in her mom's arms. "Once I gave her back the baby, it’s like everyone went back to their conversations."

Looking back, Jenny thinks she was witnessing the controlling nature of Scientology. "Okay, I am in the belly of the beast right now," she remembered thinking.
The memory came amid Jenny's discussion about Scientology, and Ann's experience. She described having limited contact with her family and consequences for questioning those in authority.

Jenny also discussed Katie and Tom's ill-fated union and revealed she was concerned about a "shift" in Katie after her wedding.
"At that time, she looked like a deer in headlights. This was well into the marriage. During the wedding part, she still seemed like Katie, but into the marriage it seemed there was a shift in her," she said.
The Scary Movie 3 actress also made allegations about the Scientology element of the wedding leaving some guests "shocked."

"The juxtaposition between Katie at this time and Tom’s world were very polar opposite," she shared.
While Katie’s maid of honour delivered a "very Midwest" speech about their school days together, Tom chose Church of Scientology leader David Miscavige as his best man.
Jenny recalled: "[The speech] was 30 minutes long, about how Tom and Katie are now going to be the most important couple in the world. I’m sitting next to Will Smith, JLo, Jim, the crème de la crème.
"I was so shocked and I was looking around at everyone’s faces and I could just see all of Katie’s family going, 'What? What?' Even Katie, I was watching Katie’s face, just like trying to smile her way through it."

The couple — who began dating in 2005 — lasted almost six years but their divorce was finalized in August 2012.
At the time of their split, Katie's lawyer, Johnathan Wolfe, told People: "Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."
Tom is believed to be estranged from Suri, who has dropped his famous surname and is known as Suri Noelle.
Suri is currently a student at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she is studying Musical Theate.
