Oct. 14 (Daily Mirror) - The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Jeddah has advised Sri Lankan nationals planning to undertake Umrah to exercise caution when making travel arrangements amid the current situation in the region, warning of possible disruptions to flights to and from Saudi Arabia.
In a notice dated 13 October 2026, the Consulate urged prospective pilgrims to remain in close coordination with their respective Umrah group representatives or travel agents when planning their journeys.
The Consulate also advised pilgrims to ensure that their travel plans include appropriate contingency arrangements to deal with emergencies or unforeseen circumstances that could affect their journeys.
