Injuries Reported in New Attack on Riyadh Airport

Riyadh – Saudi Arabia announced on Sunday that King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was attacked with an unidentified projectile, resulting in injuries, just one day after an attack that killed 12 people and injured 309.
The projectile struck Terminal 4 at the airport, and air defenses intercepted and destroyed a cruise missile in the vicinity of the airport.
A fire resulted from the attack, and authorities are currently investigating the incident.
Later, the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation stated that King Khalid Airport was subjected to another attack on Sunday afternoon.
It explained that "the attack resulted in injuries, and the assessment of damage and verification of the safety of facilities is ongoing, in coordination with the relevant authorities."
AFP reported hearing three explosions in Riyadh on Sunday, the day after Saturday's attack.
