Paradise Group held an event with the global dining guide La Liste 2027 to review the achievements of Korean fine dining and explore ways to grow it further. La Liste is a France-based dining guide that evaluates restaurants, hotels and pastry shops in about 200 countries to select a global top 1,000.
Paradise Group said on the 14th that it had hosted the La Liste 2027 Korea Awards and the global dining forum Next Gastronomy Korea 2026 on the 12th at Paradise City in Incheon.
At the awards ceremony, Mingles and Mosu were named to the global top 1,000 among Korean restaurants. Special award winners included chef Park Joo-eun of Jooeun and chef Bae Kyung-joon of Bonyeon for Talent of the Year, and chef Cho Woo-ram of Maison Jo for the Artisan and Master award. Chef Cho Hee-sook of Hansik Gonggan received an honorary award.
At the dining forum held ahead of the ceremony, participants discussed ways for the food service industry to put ESG — environmental, social and governance — principles into practice, including hiring workers with disabilities and training specialized personnel. Guillaume Gomez, former executive chef at France's Élysée Palace, described his experience working with employees with disabilities and stressed the importance of a work environment that lets them use their abilities. Lim Jung-taek, chief executive of Hisbeans, shared cases of training baristas with disabilities as skilled professionals.
A Paradise Group official said: "This forum was an occasion to look at hospitality not only as welcoming guests but as discovering the potential of the people we work with. We will work to create opportunities for more people to use their talents and grow together, so that fine dining can contribute to our society."
