Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was back in Bayern Munich training on Tuesday for their Champions League match against Arsenal, but midfielder Joshua Kimmich and coach Vincent Kompany were absent.
Neuer had been sidelined with a foot problem, with Jonas Urbig deputizing in the 3-3 Champions League draw at Viking Stavanger and 6-1 Bundesliga triumph over RB Leipzig.
Fit again, the 40-year-old Neuer is expected to be between the posts against Arsenal, but a decision hasn't been made yet.
"Manu's been back on the pitch for two days, which is brilliant. We'll decide together with the coaching staff and Vincent. But it's great to have Manu back," assistant coach Aaron Danks said in a news conference.
Kimmich missed training for personal reasons, while Kompany was absent from training and the pre-match news conference due to illness, plagued by a virus and hip problems that already made him follow the Leipzig match sitting in the dug-out, with assistant Danks giving the instructions.
"Vincent Kompany has been advised to take it easy due to a viral infection so will be absent from today's training session and press conference," Bayern said.
Danks oversaw Tuesday training and conducted the news conference, having also done the latter last season when Kompany was suspended for the first leg semi-final against eventual champions Paris Saint-Germain.
"Vincent has a viral infection. It's important that he gets some rest. We're monitoring the situation constantly and will see how he's doing tomorrow. We're in constant contact. He's giving us his input. As for whether he'll be able to be at the Allianz Arena tomorrow, we'll see tomorrow," Danks said.
"It's been affecting his legs at times, he's been in pain. It's a virus, the most important thing is that he gets some rest and takes his time."
Bayern will be without influential winger Michael Olise for the visit of the Gunners, who's suspended after he received a red card during the match against Viking
Asked about who might replace Olise, Danks said: "We'll be speaking to Vincent later within the coaching staff. Lennart Karl is someone who could come in. We're at FC Bayern, we've got a strong squad. Of course, we miss Michael when he's not involved, but then it's up to the others to step up."
Arsenal last won in Munich in 2013 but beat Bayern 3-1 in their last meeting almost a year ago in London.
