According to reports, the groom had told his wife that morning he was travelling upcountry.
What she did not know at the time was that he was actually preparing to marry another woman. A tip-off from someone who knew the truth changed everything.
The woman wasted no time once she entered the church. She called her children to stand before the altar and addressed the congregation directly, stating clearly that she and the man had never divorced, never separated, and had not even quarrelled.
"My children can you come here, this man is my husband, we have not divorced, we are not separated, we never quarreled I fact he even slept with me, this morning he was from home, I do not know what is happening here," she said, gesturing to her children as proof of their union.
"These are my girls, can you come here," she added, drawing the children closer.
A video clip captured the entire confrontation. The bride stood rooted to the spot in her white gown, her maid of honour beside her, visibly stunned.
The groom remained in the middle of it all, appearing unsure of what to say or do. The priest and the liturgy team looked on in disbelief as the clip ended before any resolution was shown.
