The African Action Congress (AAC) has written to President Bola Tinubu, requesting permission to inaugurate its Presidential Campaign Council for its candidate, Omoyele Sowore, at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja.
The party which said the event is slated for November 11, 2026, also requested feeding and logistical support for 5,000 supporters expected at the event, from within and outside the country.
The party argued that if such treatment can be granted to the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) then it should be extended to all other political parties in the spirit of fairness and multi-partisan inclusiveness.
The letter was signed by the party’s national secretary, Oshiokhue Philip Ikpeminoghena.
The request comes after the Presidential Villa recently hosted the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
The AAC’s request seeks to hold its own campaign council inauguration at the same venue ahead of the 2027 general elections.
