The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) officials seized ₹62,500 in unaccounted money at the Devakottai municipality office. It was also revealed that ₹50,500 had been received from officials via UPI.
Police personnel, led by DVAC DSP Sankaraman, along with Inspectors Kannan and Jesudoss, conducted a raid on Friday evening at the Devakottai municipality office in Sivaganga district. During the raid, they seized ₹62,500 of unaccounted money at the office. Further, it was uncovered that officials had received ₹50,500 via UPI from some contractors. The DVAC officials have initiated further inquiry into the matter.
