Hollywood's A-listers recently paid tribute to Dolly Parton, after the legendary singer passed away at the age of 80 on August 25.
Actors shared their special recollections of the iconic performer during CMA Presents I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton, which aired ABC on October 21, from Nashville, Tennessee.
Julia Roberts made a rare appearance in a moving pre-recorded tribute in her home, as she donned a fuzzy white sweater, and her signature wavy blond hair.

The star acted alongside Dolly in the film Steel Magnolias, which came out in 1989.
Julia shared in the video: "Dolly came into my life when I was in my early 20s, and it was magical to see someone so alive, so present. She really was a shining example of remembering who you are, where you came from, and what it means to be kind. We love her."
Shortly after the news of Dolly's death came out, Julia provided a statement to Page Six, which read: "Dolly was a magical and joyous human. I hold knowing her as a treasure in my life. The sun has dimmed today."
During the duo's memorable time on set, Julia learned a great deal from the legend, and she shared the most important lesson that she took a mental note of, during her interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 1989.

Julia recalled: "Everyone had ice on their wrist and was doing the whole thing, everyone was like, 'It's hot, can I get some water?' And I finally just had to say, 'Dolly, I mean, you've got a wig and the wool. Come on, it's hot, sweat a little, you know? Just say 'I'm hot,' you know. 'This is a drag!'"
Julia added: "And she said to me, 'When I was a little girl, I wanted to be famous and I wanted to be rich, and now I'm both those things. I'm not going to complain about it.'"

Dolly's response was so wise and unexpected for Julia, and she immediately changed her mindset because of it.
Julia concluded: "I thought, 'Okay, I’m going to be quiet for the rest of the day. It was the way she said it, and I didn't really do it her way, or else it'll choke me up, but it was this thing and I've never forgotten it."

Even after the pair concluded filming together, Dolly's perspective made a tremendous impact on Julia to stay focused on the bigger picture.
The actress concluded: "And every time I go to complain or just kind of moan, I always hear Dolly sitting on the porch and saying that, and it kind of keeps you quiet."
