KUALA LUMPUR: Jasmine Food Corporation Sdn Bhd is expanding beyond rice with the launch of Jasmine Krim Kelapa, a coconut cream product developed for food service operators and small- and medium-sized enterprises.
The product was recently launched at the Malaysia International Halal Showcase 2026 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre.
With a 24 per cent fat content and a smooth, creamy consistency, Jasmine Krim Kelapa comes in a one-litre pack, offering convenience and consistency to businesses that regularly use coconut cream in food preparation.
The launch marks another step in Jasmine Food's evolution from a rice-focused brand into a broader food solutions provider, with products catering to Malaysian cooking and dining needs.
Jasmine Food chief operating officer Alan Kwong said the company was expanding its role from a trusted retail food brand to a food service solutions partner.
"Jasmine has always been associated with quality rice, but now we are ready to expand our role from a trusted retail food brand to a food service solutions partner.
"Jasmine Krim Kelapa is developed with businesses in mind. It is smooth, creamier, suitable for various types of cooking and, most importantly, delivers consistency in every dish."
The launch coincides with the reintroduction of two products from Jasmine Food - Jasmine Santan Kelapa in a 200ml pack and Jasmine Ketupat Mini.
While Jasmine Krim Kelapa is aimed at food service operators and businesses, the two products cater to household needs and consumers seeking convenient options for everyday cooking.
The expanded range reflects the company's strategy to diversify beyond rice while continuing to serve Malaysian households and the food service sector.
Jasmine Food said quality, value and halal assurance remained central to its product development as it expanded its portfolio.
All Jasmine products are halal-certified, reinforcing the company's commitment to providing food products for Malaysian consumers, businesses and the halal market.
