Wisconsin Badgers offensive lineman Kevin Heywood made it clear he wasn't throwing anyone under the bus after the UCLA game.
While emotions sometimes get the best of players, this was a case of everyone in the locker room knowing what Heywood meant, and it was the latest situation of a viral quote being taken out of context.
Heywood spoke with Journal Sentinel's John Steppe on Tuesday, Oct. 20, to discuss exactly what he meant following UW's 17-7 loss at the Rose Bowl.
"You can't have a positive play like that," Heywood said when it's five on one compared to four on one.

For reference, the quote that got people talking after the game on Saturday, Oct. 17, featured him saying, "What it felt like, for the O-line specifically, was four guys doing the right thing and one guy doing the wrong thing."
"That got taken way out of context," Heywood told Steppe. "I didn't mean anything like that, calling out anybody... Everyone knows what we talk about in our O-Line room. No one knew I was calling someone out, everyone was just like whatever, you know. Social media will take it out the way they take it."
In response to the social media reaction, Heywood said he saw it and "was just like whatever, dude. It sucks, I didn't mean it like that, and I would never call one of my boys out."
Wisconsin has a chance to put the UCLA loss and all of the noise behind them by taking down No. 15 USC on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, WI.
