The Experience Golf, which runs luxury golf tours across Britain and Ireland, said on the 14th that it is launching The 1867 Club, a women-only program combining rounds at St. Andrews in Scotland with stays at a five-star hotel.
The program guarantees a round on the Old Course at St. Andrews. The 1867 Club runs from June 12 to 17 next year, a six-day, five-night itinerary. Participation is capped at 16 people.
The operator offers tailored, small-group service for women golfers who want to play Scotland's best-known courses. The itinerary includes four rounds, taking in Kingsbarns, Dumbarnie and the Jubilee Course before finishing on the Old Course.
Guests stay at the five-star Old Course Hotel, which overlooks the Old Course. The package also includes a welcome dinner at the rooftop restaurant of the Rusacks Hotel in St. Andrews and a farewell dinner at the Old Course Hotel.
The club's name comes from the history of women's golf. In 1867, women first putted at the Himalayas, a women's club in St. Andrews.
A dedicated team from The Experience Golf supports participants throughout the trip. A handicap certificate of 36 or lower is required to play the Old Course. Participants can also add extra golf rounds, sightseeing, distillery visits and other customized arrangements.
Details and reservations are available on The Experience Golf's official website.
