Cincinnati football player Josh Hough had a literal case of adding insult to injury in Week 7.
The defensive tackle went down in the second quarter against West Virginia on Saturday, Oct. 17 with an apparent left leg injury. Given the injury, the Bearcats support staff had Hough put onto a cart so he can be taken back to the locker room to be further evaluated.
However, the cart inside Milan Puskar Stadium was positioned in a way where the West Virginia staff member driving it had to back up.
He backed up too much — resulting in Hough's left foot, the one he just injured, getting pushed against the wall on the field.
Hough was visibly in more pain as his foot appeared to be smashed between the cart and wall before it eventually went forward, not a great thing to happen to an injured player. The TNT broadcaster noted it looked like Hough was further injured because of it.
He was eventually ruled out for the remainder of the game.
