Ripple is working with Wormhole to strengthen multichain asset control, using technology that lets token issuers retain control across different blockchain networks. The collaboration centers on Wormhole’s NTT technology and the institutional demand for greater flexibility in managing blockchain assets.
Key takeaways
- Ripple is adopting Wormhole’s NTT for cross-chain token control.
- Securitize and LidoFinance are also using the technology.
- Institutions prioritize control over assets held across multiple chains.
According to Coinfomania’s report published on October 12, 2026, Ripple is leveraging Wormhole’s NTT technology alongside Securitize and LidoFinance. The report links that adoption to institutions’ interest in retaining authority over their tokens as they operate across multiple networks.
Ripple and Wormhole focus on multichain token control
Wormhole’s NTT enables issuers to control tokens across blockchain networks. For Ripple, the integration supports asset management across multiple chains while addressing concerns about control and flexibility.
Wormhole has emphasized that institutions care about who controls their assets in a multichain environment. Ripple’s multichain collaboration with Wormhole targets that priority, with the aim of improving blockchain asset management.
The report describes the technology’s potential to improve asset management strategies, rather than presenting those improvements as completed outcomes. Its focus is on maintaining issuer control while expanding multichain capabilities.
Institutional adoption extends beyond Ripple
Securitize and LidoFinance are also adopting Wormhole’s approach to multichain token control. Their participation places Ripple’s use of NTT within a broader move toward managing assets across different blockchain networks.
The report frames this shift as a push for greater flexibility and autonomy in institutional asset management. It also describes multichain solutions as increasingly important to the integration of blockchain into mainstream finance.
Ripple’s existing focus is on facilitating real-time global payments and expanding blockchain solutions. The NTT integration adds multichain asset management to the activities described in the report.
Market activity offers a separate signal
The report characterizes the cryptocurrency market as mixed: interest in multichain strategies is growing, but trading activity has not gained momentum. It suggests that increased adoption and trading volume could affect market dynamics, without presenting that outcome as established.
Its market snapshot lists a $0 trading-volume figure for Ripple and interprets it as a sign of cautious sentiment. That is the report’s stated figure and interpretation, separate from the technological capabilities described for NTT.
