A former Great British Bake Off contestant has appeared in court charged with making indecent images of a child.
John Mincher, who featured on the popular Channel 4 show's 2024 series, is accused of having two Category A images on one of his devices.
The 39-year-old was arrested in August and subsequently charged before appearing before Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on Friday afternoon.
He arrived wearing black trousers, a shirt and a blue tie and entered a not guilty plea to a single charge of making two indecent images of a child.
Mincher was released on conditional bail and will face a trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court next month.
At Friday's hearing, Deputy District Judge Kate Hearney told the former television star he is accused of 'incredibly serious offences'.
Category A is the most serious classification of child sexual abuse material which involves images or videos depicting penetrative activity.

Mincher, an NHS worker, featured in three episodes of season 15 of The Great British Bake Off two years ago.
In the series' opening episode, celebrity chef Paul Hollywood crowned Mincher his star baker, with the contestant saying: 'I don't want to cry, but I'm so proud of myself and they're good tears.'
He later became the third contestant to leave the tent before boasting of being stopped by star-struck shoppers in his local Morrisons.
'It has given me the confidence to believe in myself and to know that I am good enough to achieve whatever I want in life,' Mincher said of his time on Bake Off.
