Cristian 'Cuti' Romero has sparked concern after an untimely adductor muscle injury was confirmed. The Argentine centre-back, a defensive mainstay, has had his run of games abruptly interrupted by this physical setback.
Fortunately, medical tests confirmed that the injury is minor. The defender will spend around ten days off the pitch as he completes his recovery and works his way back to fitness.
The layoff will rule him out of the tough Champions League clash against Stuttgart. His absence at the heart of defence will pose a significant tactical challenge heading into the European encounter.
In the league, the Argentine centre-back will also miss the matchday 10 meeting with Deportivo. The team will need to adjust their back line to maintain their defensive organisation and solidity in domestic competition.
The medical team's main goal is to have him available for the matchday 11 fixture against Levante. They will avoid rushing his return to ensure he comes back at his best and without risking a recurrence.
