"This is an issue we take very seriously," says Sune Myrup, head of investigations at North Jutland Police, in a press release confirming the arrest.
The investigation is being conducted in collaboration with Denmark's security police PET, according to the press release.
The two defendants are suspected of having photographed the facilities of the Danish defence company My Defence, located in Aalborg, prosecutors said in court, according to TV2.
The images were then allegedly sent to a user on the messaging service Telegram. The prosecution believes that the images were intended for Russian intelligence.
According to the prosecutor, the two defendants were accompanied by several perpetrators who have not yet been identified.
