NSCN Provisional Government alleges Indian Army drone strike on Mt Horeb

Kohima, October 24 (MExN): The Provisional Government of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN) has alleged that the Indian Army carried out a drone strike on Mt Horeb between 2:40 am and 4:30 am on October 11.In a press statement issued on October 24, the NSCN condemned the alleged strike, that allegedly targeted those committed to the “Naga sovereignty movement.”However, the organisation asserted that the incident had deepened its commitment to the Naga sacred cause.It further accused the Indian government and its collaborators of what it described as the “illegal occupation” of Nagalim and alleged violations of international law and human rights.Appealing to the international community to intervene, the Provisional Government urged the United Nations to give serious attention to the situation in Nagalim. It also questioned India’s bid for permanent membership of the UN Security Council, citing its allegations of disregard for international law and human rights.The statement called on the people of Nagalim to remain united and uphold what the organisation described as their sovereign rights.
