When it comes to football in Central California, few names are more familiar than David and Derek Carr.
David starred at Fresno State before becoming the number one overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft and later winning a Super Bowl. His younger brother Derek followed with a record-setting Bulldogs career that led to 11 seasons in the NFL, four Pro Bowl selections, and multiple franchise passing records with the Raiders.
Now, both brothers have transitioned to new roles in coaching, broadcasting, and mentoring young athletes.
They've also been very intentional when it comes to living in the Valley and partnering with local companies, including EECU and Valley Children's Hospital for over a decade.
Action News Sports Director Sydney Berger sat down with the Carrs at their podcast studio to talk about their commitment to the community they call home.
