Nammos New York will bring the Mykonos beach club’s dining concept to Midtown Manhattan, with the brand’s own website confirming the city debut but no opening date announced so far.
Nammos New York heads to Midtown
The official Nammos New York page describes the venue as sitting “in the heart of Midtown Manhattan”. It presents the restaurant as the brand’s New York debut, under the line “Born in Mykonos, now at the heart of Manhattan.”
Nammos itself has not published a street address. However, the New York restaurant newsletter The Soft Open reported on 15 July 2026 that filings place Nammos New York at 7 West 51st Street, half a block off Fifth Avenue near Rockefeller Center.
That building has a dining history of its own. In 2013, the New York Post reported that NYY Steak, the New York Yankees’ steakhouse brand, would open a 16,000-square-foot restaurant in a former bank at the same address.

Timing remains the main open question. As of mid-October 2026, neither the Nammos website nor The Soft Open has given an opening date for Nammos New York.
Aegean classics and Japanese dishes
The menu will follow the model of the original on Psarou beach. According to the brand, the kitchen will serve “Aegean classics and signature Japanese dishes” reworked with a contemporary approach.
The Nammos New York dining room is also designed to work across the whole day. In particular, the brand says it will run “from power lunches to late-night celebrations”, so the mood shifts as the evening goes on.
Music plays a central part in that shift at Nammos New York. Nammos describes an atmosphere that moves from polished ease at lunch to a livelier, after-dark feel, which mirrors the day-to-night pattern that made the Mykonos venue famous.
By comparison, the Mykonos menu centres on fresh fish and seafood, sushi platters and premium beef, served alongside champagne and cocktails. The city version, unlike the beach club, has no sand or sea, so the brand frames it as “coastal dining, reimagined for the city”.
From Psarou beach to a global brand
Nammos began as a restaurant on Psarou beach on the southern coast of Mykonos more than 20 years ago. Since then, it has become one of the best-known names on the island, with its own cabanas, yacht services, a helipad and the Nammos Village shopping centre.
Greek City Times has covered the Psarou venue in its round-up of the best beach bars in Mykonos. Greek City Times has also reported on high-profile visitors to the island throughout the summer season.
Today the Nammos website lists venues in Mykonos, Dubai, London, Doha, Limassol, Cannes and Sardinia, as well as Montenegro and New York. Earlier this year, Greek City Times reported that Nammos would open a new resort in Montenegro.
The group also moved into hotels with a Mykonos property in 2024. Speaking to Latte Luxury News in August 2026, Nammos Hotels & Resorts CEO Carolyn Turnbull said the company aims for 10 to 12 ultra-luxury properties.
Turnbull described a pipeline “crossing over Asia, Middle East, Europe and North America”. Announced projects include AMAALA in Saudi Arabia, Montenegro, Egypt’s north coast and the Maldives.
A second attempt at Manhattan
This is not the first time the brand has looked at the city. In September 2014, Eater NY reported plans for “Nammos by the Sea” on the roof of the Battery Maritime Building in Lower Manhattan, then slated for 2015.
Greek-American restaurateur Peter Poulakakos was behind that earlier plan, according to the same report. Still, the brand’s own site now presents Midtown as its New York debut.
The United States matters to the group’s wider strategy. Turnbull said the group plans to bring Nammos restaurants to American cities to raise awareness of the brand, and she named Los Angeles and Miami as possible locations, although neither city has been confirmed.
She also said the company would like guests from North America to make up 15 to 20 per cent of its customers. A Midtown address near Rockefeller Center would put Nammos New York in front of that market year-round, rather than only during the Mykonos summer.
Until an opening date appears, New Yorkers can follow updates through the Nammos website and the brand’s official social media channels.
