The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the deadlines for fee payment and choice filling for the Karnataka NEET UG 2026 stray vacancy round for medical and dental seats. Candidates seeking admission through the counselling process can check the revised schedule on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

According to the updated information issued by KEA, candidates who do not currently hold a medical seat can also participate in the seat allotment process by paying the prescribed medical course fee.

The extension follows requests from candidates seeking an opportunity to participate in the stray vacancy round despite not holding a medical seat.

Karnataka NEET UG 2026: Revised Schedule

KEA has announced the following revised deadlines for candidates participating in the stray vacancy round:

Payment of prescribed medical course fee: October 19, 2026, by 11 am

Choice filling for seat allotment: October 19, 2026, by 1 pm

Candidates should complete the required steps within the specified timelines to remain eligible for consideration in the stray vacancy round. They are also advised to check the KEA website for any additional instructions.

Candidates can follow these steps to submit their preferences through the KEA counselling portal:

1. Visit the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
2. Open the UGNEET-2026 stray vacancy round option-entry link.
3. Log in using the required credentials.
4. Check the available medical and dental seats.
5. Select the preferred colleges and courses.
6. Arrange the choices in order of preference, placing the most preferred option first.
7. Review the selections and make any necessary changes before the deadline.
8. Submit the choices and save or print the confirmation page for future reference.

Candidates must enter fresh choices for the stray vacancy round. Preferences submitted during earlier counselling rounds will not be considered for this round.

Candidates are advised to complete the fee payment by October 19 at 11 am and submit their choices by 1 pm on the same day. They should regularly visit the official KEA website for further updates on seat allotment and other counselling-related instructions.
